The Ricans are an in-your-face Rock & Roll band from the Valley of the Sun.
The Uninvited was formed when two brothers, Jerimiah “Hooch”, and Corey Moore, decided to take their love of music and guitar playing to another level, when they, and their long time friend, musician, and mentor, Will Williamson, began putting together their musical ideas for a rock band from their collective interests in music, which genres are steeped in classic rock, blues and punk. In that process they formed the beginnings of a formitable rock band.
They began practicing chord progressions, writing lyrics, and composing their original songs until they had a pretty good set list, and in time they had enough material to begin looking for venues to play. What eluded them for a time was a drum player, but this did not detour them from playing out, until one night when they shared a venue with the band, Tender Mercyes.
That night as they played the full set without a drum player, the bass player from Tender Mercyes, John Dirks, who also played drums in the original line up of his band, was quite impressed how with out a drum player they still pulled off a good show.
“I sat and watched these guys in the audience”, Dirks recalled, “and played air drums to what they were doing, and I was determined to ask them if they needed a drum player, and so I did after their set.”
The following thursday night they met at Dirks’ home and had their first practice session, blazing through the set. Their first show as a complete band was on January 1, 2012, with one practice session the show came off without a hitch.
With Dirks, Williamson, and the Moore brothers, the band, The Uninvited, is now complete.
